Back to the Future!

Let’s Keep In Touch 2019

Let’s Keep In Touch is an innovative free training course for young people aged 18-25. A process of co-design and implementation of a cultural event. An experiment in artistic co-creation.

Let’s Keep In Touch  is a playful challenge in which different generations share visions and knowledge, the role boundaries between artists and users are broken down and the barriers of access to institutional places of culture, public administration, and economic power are overcome.

Let’s Keep In Touch  is a group of young people who rediscover themselves as a community, who put themselves on the line, giving their contribution to the construction of a different future.

The territory

Municipio 1, the Centre of Milan is a place full of contradictions. Every day 700,000 people pass through it, but the resident population is constantly decreasing.

For the world, it is a major production centre, where art, politics and economics coexist. For the Milanese, even the adopted ones, it is a symbol, the heart of a city that is always on the move, constantly changing.

Municipio 1 has been chosen as the territory of investigation, in search of existing and possible relationships between the people who live there in different ways, between communities and places, in order to build a new identity or simply re-appropriate an important part of the city, finding a place to waste time and feel at home.

Notes for so.stare

Tale of an audio-photographic exhibition

In November 2020, at Casa Degli Artisti in Milan, we should have held the audio-photographic exhibition so.stare, but the pandemic forced a second total closure.

We decided not to transpose the exhibition into a digital version, but to create an alternative meeting space in which to discover the process behind the creation of a collective artistic work. The replicas of this digital and interactive performance took place from 13 to 15 November 2020.

Notes for so.stare. An audio-photographic exhibition reveals the city through the point of view of a group of youngsters and the people they meet. An intimate tale made of words, sounds and images, which crosses the heart of Milan from dawn to night.
