Adriano A/R is a journey inside and out of Adriano district. A path taken through diverse performing art languages. A new cartography, a psico-geographic map that investigates Adriano and the surrounding districts throughout music, dance, theatre and performing arts.
Adriano A/R arises by the call Milano è Viva nei quartieripromoted by Comune di Milano and engages six different partners in the co-creation of a multidisciplinary festival that involved the Adriano district from the 15th of June to the 2nd of October 2022.
Adriano A/R wants to reclaim a social dimension in order to re-discover the beauty of sharing offered by the performing acts, and to show in a new light and to give significance to the everyday-life spaces of the territory. Adriano A/R represents a way of taking care of our district and investigating the world, interpreting the present.
The territory
The centre of gravity of the festival is Magnete, a community centre in Adriano district, an auditorium devoted to care and culture, a unique space committed to relation.
Magnete is the crossroad where to start and come back to discover Adriano and its surrounding districts, to explore hidden spaces such as Alma Bar, Mosso Milano, Orti Vi.Pre.Go., Orti di Via Padova, La Tana, and to inhabit significant places like Anfiteatro Martesana and Giardino della Madia, to reclaim their territory, its stories, voices, and faces.
Through music, dance, theatre and performing arts, Adriano A/R generates relationships between arts and spaces, among people, communities and performers, enriching the awareness and cohesion of communities. The artistic act is a medium to enhance the possibility to be together, to share experiences and to feel part of the same community.

The journey
A show can be much more than something that occurs in a time and a place.
Adriano A/R goes through time and space and transforms performing arts into a long experiential wave. It deepens the relation of the artistic act through laboratories, encounters, co-creative actions, to drive the citizens towards a new awareness of the present and of its social role.
People are the protagonists of this journey. They are the ones who turn the artistic proposal into a moment devoted to encounter, intergenerational exchange and into an opportunity to give value to the cultural heritage and the spaces of the territory. People take care of the triggered processes and of the stemming relationships. People are the ones who build the community.
Our gaze
Il teatro è nell’aria che respiriamo, nel correre per poi perdere il tram e in una conversazione tra amici. Il teatro si fa tutti i giorni e dappertutto.
Una nuova luce illumina la piazza, persone sconosciute si prendono per mano. Ballando insieme, ci si prende cura reciprocamente.
Gli occhi brillano di meraviglia e ci trascinano in un mondo in cui il teatro torna al gioco e all’immaginazione.
Cosa sono davvero le differenze nei background culturali, etnici e religiosi quando tutte convergono nell’esperienza umana dell’arte?
Un respiro comune, un flusso continuo tra palco e platea. Un coro di voci e sguardi, incantato dalla stessa magia.
Arte e spazio, palco e platea, persone: tutto è alla ricerca di un altro da sé con cui relazionarsi, scambiare pensieri, idee ed energie.
Grafite che gratta su un foglio e scrive domande, domande e ancora domande. Lo scambio di conoscenze è empowerment e crescita.
Cosa c’è di più naturale di un corpo che si prende il suo spazio? La danza rapisce e fa sue le nostre emozioni, sussurrando all’orecchio della parte più umana di noi.
